John Martin
Hi all, Just a quick questions regarding VIZ 2006. I am using the demo right now to see what it is like before I buy it and wondered which driver to use for the program; Software, OpenGL or DirectX? System is a P4 2.66, 128MB Radeon 9700 video card, 1 GB ram. A few years old but will be upgrading that soon. Recommendations are welcome. Zdravko Barisic
Software mode..do not even try!!! Switch beetween DirextX(D3D) and OpneGL and test on yuor scenec which one worx better As far as I know for ATi based board, D3D would be almost only solution. 9700 is excellent gaming card, but Im not so shure about its performance in 3DS MAX. If you get some troubles with your machine, even upgrading only AGP card (to some 6600AGp or 6800AGP) would be great choice PS-P4 2.66GHz still has enough power to push complex scenes
