( with the red marks )is that from the materials or it is only photoshop effects or even of the light only ? some parts of the building have a gradient like effect . IC
I can't see any glow but the soft shadow effect you've highlighted is typical of radiosity lighting affecting a bump map.

BrianKitts
I'm guessing here at what you're after... so I could be wrong, but if you're asking how to get the hard edged shadow close to the building, and then the falloff to blackness to the background...... thats done with controlling the parameters of the light. You can set the diameter/angle of the hotspot independently from the falloff of the light. The defined shadow is in the hotspot of the light, and the gradient is the product of the falloff. anywhere close to what you were after??? IHAB
as for the shadow map settings.. from the Shadow Map Parameters try changing the values of [bias, size, sample range] also u can remove the shadow map and use adv. raytrace shadows + skylight (adv lighting) beside ur direct light..[try this one] but note that all these settings are for scanline render as vray has different settings ..hope this helped

Sawyer
Or use a vray light but make it a sphere and play with the diam of the actual light itself (small crisp shadows the larger the light the larger penumbra).
