Fantastic, glad to see youve fixed the tree scale, now the buildings look right.

Keep it up

JHV

hahaha... just sorry, the trees are with the same scale than previously... each building doesn't have the same size you know, and I understand sometimes your surprise...

...while waiting more, here's a little modification about stone colors, it' more what I've wanted...

Having looked at the intial thread, it seems the overall quality of your modelling has improved alot, while at the same time retaining that original style.... well played! Any chance you could show us an image of how much of the entire area you have now completed?

I don't know exactly if the quality is better now, the original model was really much detailed for this one, and I can do less, even if I must take care with the polycount.

About a picture of all the 10 pavilions done, I will do my best during this week... I'm really busy actually, and I must continue anyway with the next pavilion...

I've planed a new animation test too... with this range... to see...

While waiting... a wallpaper in 1600x1200 with the actual animation mood...

didn't know it was possible to do things this nice...

i think you have become an icon in the viz world...

ray

Maybe it's too strong for me, hahaha... thanks for your encouragements Raymond, I'm really far to be a real "pro" of viz, but one thing is sure, I'm trying to do my best with this project...

Just now, the latest picture of the Belgian pavilion, just before to start the next one of Portugal...

Now it's time to show the next one, the Portuguese Pavilion... certainly very resting after the one of Belgium.

This new one is not situated along the river Seine but just behind the first range of pavilions...

Not much documentations about this one... the only precise size I have is the suface of exposition of 350m2...

Here's some references...

Thanks Iain, I hope that you say can continue... sometimes, It's hard to find the good motivation to work on the project only during evening or night...

Update of the Portuguese pavilion now... near to be finished... just few details will come... and maybe I will start the moving sidewalk and the electric train situated just behind this pavilion... will see...

Here's the first step of texturing... not finish of course...

About azuleros at the top of the walls... as I don't have precise documents about that, I imagine to possibilitites of style... portuguese traditional or modern style, more fashon of this time... it's the first test I've made...

Another point... I think to give a less yellow aspect to the lower part of wall... and a wall covereing less pink... and less flashie aspect to the roof...

Next step, other model of azuleros...

This is more interesting than most soap operas haha.... I look forward to 'tuning in' to see the next pavillion. Dont suppose you got any further on some kind of image showing how much you have done? I saw one at the beginning of the thread, marking out how much you have to make.... i wondered how much of the overall project you have made it through.

Hahaha... nice to hear...

and about a pic with all pavilions already made... that will come soon... I want to do it... but always not much time... I'm trying to respect a certain planning, but each time, I can't... not enough spare times ;-/

Well Andy, that will be small pic but surely understandable... (I don't know if it's good for my motivation to show the remaining work to do...)

In yellow... the 112 hectares of the world's fair (without annexes at Vincennes)

In blue, the river Seine of course...

In red, the 10 pavilions already finished...

In grey, the five to do to finish the first range (planed for the end of 2006)

In orange, the Portuguese pavilion in progress (on the second range of the Nation's Street)

In pink, the monumental gate.

Like that, you can appreciate the amount of work it remain... That make me afraid today ;-) hahahaha

wow. Lemog do you mean to say you are going to model all that is yellow?

Of course ;-/ hahahahaha

Well... it's my goal... 4 or 5 years of work !

But I've cut all the fair in many large parts... that make me many goals... and that will permit me eventually to finish before, if it's needed... I can't be sure at 100% about my future... I can lose my job, move, etc...

So, the first goal is the 15 pavilions of the first range, after, the second range of 8 pavilions...

Second part, the other side of the Seine... and more if I can.

Hi there!

upon seeing this rendered image of the belgian pavilion, i was breatheless for a couple of seconds... this is so far the BEST PAVILION EVER!!! astonishing details and the renderings really improved so much! i saw some of the guys criticized the rendering before but i just thought that your still on the production phase and overall quality of rendering isnt required yet. your on your way there. SUPER MODELLING, SUPER PATIENCE, AND SUPER PASSION are just few things i can say right now.. (i kneel before you, "we're not worthy, we're not worthy...) he he he. Sir, don't you get a bit burned out?

i cant seem to believe you just have a dual PIII 800 making all these. i thought your using a quad core or something similar. considering the fast phase you model these bldgs and then render, i mean im following the dates you post and then you have your own stuffs to do like work, family and even your holidays! wow!
