lemog,

I've been a long time admirer of this thread, but I felt i had to put my 2 cents into this latest work. The modeling is amazing, and the speed that you do it is even more impressive. However, i think the aged texture you have on the metal right now looks more like the train cars would look now instead of the first day of service at such a grand fair. I would suggest making the train feel a little more "shiny" and "new". just a thought for you to consider.

You're right... I will modify that a little, but not too much... for the moment, we watch the train alone in this wip renderings, but in its environment, that will be very different, and it must catch lights and shadows, even if it will be saw a bit far... the final setup of its textures will be in a more real scene...

...I'm preparing actually a little animation to test when the train passed just behind the Portuguese pavilion, under the moving sidewalk... also with some trees... to really see the feeling of that. Thanks for your remark.

just visited your web site...

don't know what to say... i was awestruck

you must get flooded with requests...

ray:D :D :D

Glad you like it Ray... it's always an honor for me...

the statues and stained glass? the colors could bring it to life shining out or in that.

Sorry man, I'm not very good in english, and I don't understand the sentence at all... maybe you can try in french ? ;-)

While waiting... here's the update of yesterday a bite late...

Some modifications on textures, and working on the other cars...

I keep in any case something a bit hard... because we can imagine this train in this environment... he must keep visible, even a bit far...

You're totally right Andy, all these moving stuffs in the fair will be very important to give life to the film...

Well... now it's time to start a new pavilion...the Pavilion of Bosnia-Herzegovina... it's my 11th of the first range along the river Seine...

It can appear simple, but in fact interesting anyway... a blend of turkish and christian style... Inside was recreated a real harem... also a modern bosniac room of 1900...

This pavilion was very knowed for all the inside paintings of Alphons Mucha...

Some references now :

An example of Mucha's paintings, just sorry that was in B&W... if someone have color representations of this paintings, I will be very happy to discover it :
