I haven't checked this thread for a while and I'm not sure I have the energy to go through 50 pages again so I'll ask here. Are you getting any good publicity for this work? In other words, are there plans for this work to be published in a magazine somewhe, or better yet a television spot?

For the moment, I don't want to make me too much pressure... especially because my lack of time on this project... my job is very hard actually, and I'm not sure to have the energy to work more actually.

But of course, I have some ideas about the finality... and I start to have some contacts... but nothing very serious or very interested for the moment.

I prefer to be more advanced and to be more sure to be able to obtain the final goal. This first goal is of course to make a documentary, but front of the very important size of this event, maybe it's more adapted to plane more of one.

And about a book, for sure... at the end of the project.

While waiting, I must continue with the last 15 th pavilion of this first step... here's some references about the Italian Pavilion :

...this one will be very heavy at first view... much details...

You probably already know this, but that pavilion is heavily based on the Ca D'Oro in Venice. Here are some details of that builing and a few others:

http://www.paradoxplace.com/Perspectives/Venice%20&%20N%20Italy/Venice/Grand%20Canal.htm

I've done some drawings and paintings of some of those building, sitting there enjoying Venice.

I've also done sketches of a builing in Brooklyn, NY that is based on Ca D'Oro, called the Montauk Club (not my photos):

Thanks for these great refs Ernest... especially to discover this building at NY... strange for sure... but it's totally that... the good feeling (maybe a bit darked by car's smoke ?)...

Well... time for update... the poly number grow fast with this kind of details ;-) hahahaha the best one for the end !

SUPER work! Extremely ambitious! i skimmed through the whole thread, looking at all the pics, but didnt read anything. (typical artist) Just curious about your method of modeling. Is this strickly poly modeling, or do you work from CAD lines or EP curves?

Again, great work! Nice to see another Maya artist on here.

Absolutely stunning mate, you are certainly one dedicated person!

Thanks man, but you know, if I want to finish this project one day, I don't have choice...

Certainly 95% of traditional poly modeling... bot of course, I used curves and nurbs for certain shapes, when it's needed.

Thanks for your words...
