STRAT
ok, but i warn you they're pretty simple i think. first off, i got my name on my front page that automatically links to my email addy. i've gotten rid of the underline, but how do i make it black instead of blue? i've even specified black, but it still comes out blue. here's the line - Stephen Leworthy
JamesTaylor
Stephen Leworthy this should work Strat. just removed the > i'm guessing your hard coding the pages? have you tried dreamweaver? not the cleanest code produced but very easy to use

JamesTaylor
Strat, i think by default links go to blue, i'm sure it can be changed in a similar manner to what to you already have tho. anyway, here is one way to make the text black and keep the link to you email. probably not the most efficient method as its setting the default colour of all links in any page to black. however, if you only have the one text link on your first page it shouldn't be a problem /p> "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> Untitled Document
JamesTaylor
bit closer again and a bit simpler too! James Taylor you just need to remove the underlining again now!

4DM
Hi STRAT, I would be very wary of having a live e-mail link on your website, unless you want to attract even more junk mail than you probably get already. What I did on mine was simply write out the address in Photoshop, on a background the same as the web page, but with no live hyperlink. Anyone who wants to send me a message from seeing my website have to engage their on-board biochemical copy-and-paste facility (ie. brain) and manually type in the address in their e-mail program. Clumsy and old-fashioned I know, but I almost never get spam via my website. Cheers, D.

STRAT
hi fellers. got another one for you i got a load of thumbnails that link to large images that open in their own separate window. how can i get that new window to open exactly to the size of the image it's displaying? i got a load of randomly sized images, so i cant put in a script with a standard size for all. that would be too easy again, if poss, can it be as easy as it can be? in either html or css maybe? java script i wont use thank you.
