Network Render/ Can this be done?

I am running Max 7, and would like to create a render farm in the using the processors of other PC's. I had done this a while ago to render different frames of an animation. But now I want to render a single frame.

 

Is this possible. I know that the latest version of Vray allows something like this but I can't get that till next quarter.

 

Can anyone help? Or point me in a good direction.

if your just using scanline its possible to have the render divided into strips with different machines rendering different strips, these are then put together at the end to create the final image.

 

The function is part of the backburner setup, which it sounds as if yoy've already got running. check the help file for info.

 

in the mean time i'll try post a screen shot.

tick the box and then further options are available by preshing the define button
