Lyle
Why can't I purge existing files in style Manager with a new opened drawing with nothing drawn.
ArchitTrav
There are a certain number of "standard" styles that are loaded with each new Architectural Desktop template file that you open. They cannot be purged because they are intended to be the basis for creating new styles in the future. The only other reason that styles will not purge is if there are objects within the file that utilize the style that you with to purge. This may be the case and you might not know it because of your current view. A good way to check for other hidden items is to cycle through different views such as isometric, front, rear, etc. and see if anything is visible that may need to be deleted. Hope this helps. Lyle
I understand what you're saying but this is a new drawing that I have personally copied and pasted styles to prepare for my work that has not started. I try to purge or delete these files with no work done and they do not purge.
Kerry Thompson
Hi Lyle You will find that some styles are embedded in the definition of other styles so even though there is nothing drawn, these styles are still required. Similar to trying to purge layers from an empty drawing with block definitions containing those layers. Until the blocks are purged, the layers will remain. Cheers Kerry
