Hazdaz
http://apnews.excite.com/article/20060208/D8FL1LM82.html Rackmount Blade servers with Cell CPUs. Not too useful yet, but if somebody starts writing render engines for it it would blow away x86. SONY's marketing department claims for the Cell verge on the laughable. . I don't doubt that IBM is going to make a very powerful system, but these systems aren't being developed in a vacuum - with every advance IBM can produce, there are 2 fierce competitors in the form of Intel and AMD to make sure that x86-based PCs don't fall behind. . Until I actually see a program that I actually use, run on one of these chips, it's all jsut smoke and mirrors. . I love technology, but SONY's reputation for hyping all it's products tells me to not expect anything that amazing.
