d7man2000
I want to do a presentation where I have a building with material applied to it. I want this material to change from transparent to normal. How to do this?
a_w
Apply the material to your object and set the material's opacity to 0 (or transparency to 100). Turn on AutoKey then go to the frame when you want the material to appear. Now go back into the Material Editor and change the opacity of your material to 100 (or transparency to 0). You should get two new keyframes for the change in material property. The first key will probably appear at frame 0 and you may have to manually move it to the frame when you want the material animation to begin. To fine tune, or to even do the entire keyframing process, you could open the Track View's Curve Editor or Dope Sheet. In either place you'll find your object and its material properties. Example (Box01) Box01 | |_Material ## | |_(#): Material's Name | |_Extended Parameters | |_Opacity a_w

ajvbochove
object properties --> render control (by object) --> visibility "autokey this" this will do the trick!
ist00
alternative if possible for this circumstance... assuming you have some form of video editing there (video post cant do this off the shelf) you can cross fade one image to the other and save a lot of time! alfienoakes
Use track view / curve editor.. It may take a bit of getting used to.. but it is well worth the research. Best ever invention for all aspects of animation... IMO:D Andy
