Jago_0108
Hi everybody I made a "cluster" oh 10 Hewlett Packard CPU's, each one has Pentium III, 733 Mhz Processor and 256 MB in RAM, the question is what can I do, or how to make all the machines to work for the same Render or Animation at the same time so I can improve my rendering times? Any suggestions? Do I have to install the software in each machine?
mtutaj
ram seems a bit low, what software are you using? Mike
alfienoakes
Hey Jago, I have put together many render farms, and there is too much to list here, but try these links as a start. Once you get it going and you have more specific questions on the elements of it, repost your queries again.. And yes, PIII's with that small amount of ram, are very slow.. You would be better off buying a new AMD / Intel based machine, with 1- 2Gb RAm, and would probably get the same return from it.. http://www.evermotion.org/tutorials/rendering/maxnet/ http://raven.cc.ku.edu/~acss/netrender/netrender.htm Also type in network render to Viz help, and you will see quite a lot of headings on the subject... Good luck.. Andy
