GeraldH
Has anyone had success in creating a scratch face blended brick material? I'd be interested in your process. Thanks.
AJLynn
Have you tried it with bump map? Use a normal brick bump map photoshopped to add the lines. You can use a specular map or go with displacement to get a stronger effect. Google acme masonry designer for a good tool for making the base brick maps. Tommy L
If doing a large area of repetive material, I would always use a procedural material. You could try using the tile material in the diffuse channel, then putting a mix material in the tile material? You can use a tile material at the same scale as the orignal in the 'mix' parameter and randomize the two bitmaps you choose to generate endless non repetetive bricks. Drop me a line if that didnt make any sense and ill email you an example material. Cheers, Tom.
