thnieves
Hello my friends, I'm having a huge problem updating from vray 1.09.03 to 1.47.03. Just look at the images below. The first one was made with 1.09.03 and the second with 1.47.03. All the settings are quite the same in both version, but I think i´m doing something wrong here. I'm trying to update so I can use distributed rendering. But with this kind of results won´t be possible. Thanks for any help

Koper
Im no expert in the vray matter but looking at your rendering times of the two image there must be something wrong within the settings for 1.
Tim Nelson
A lot of things changed from 1.09 to 1.47. But in those images, the difference is that 1.47 takes into account Max's exposure control. So, turn it off and it will look a lot more like your 1.09 image. thnieves
Hi Koper, The time issue is because the second image was done using distributed rendering with 5 computers. Tim, Thanks for the tip. I´ll try it.
BrianKitts
(Tim's right) you have exposure control turned on. I use vray and I never use exposure control but every once in a while it gets turned on somehow and the renders come out looking like your second image. All you have to do is go into the exposore control panel (same panel as environment...right below it) I'm pretty sure your exposure control got switched to logarithmic exposure. Switch it back to "none" and your image will go back to normal.

CVC
hi Tim , you're right , thx for tip @thnieves : i have just downloaded file and i don't know why did u use max exposure with vray coz i think that vray color mapping is enough for exposure lighting and i try to optimize your scene using vray 1.47.03 . scene here : http://s35.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1HY2J0L43B03T0V7PIHJ5DNQZO
