Vray Demo..

I downloaded the Demo version of Vray Advanced at the weekend, and loaded it up on my PC.

All works OK with Viz 2006, no real problems... except one.

I know as a demo version, you get the vray demo, plastered on the images it out puts.. but my version also resets all the lighting settings in the render roll out.

So everytime I setup the GI, number of bounces, IR etc etc..if I add a light, leave the machine for a few minutes, everthing is set back to default..!

Is this normal for the demo version?? I could understand if it is, I just want to know, so when I get the full version, I don't have the same problem..?

Cheers

Andy

the demo resets when you save the file. disable auto save, and it will not reset during your working session.

also, in the system rollout on the vray tab, there is an option for presets. set vray the way you want it, and then save the preset. when you launch Viz, load the preset.

also, if you save the file, you will have to reload the preset.

i am not sure why Vray does this. if they were going to do something like this, i would think they would have it default to settings that will produce ok results with most scenes.
