Tommy L
Hello all, I am working viz2006 with vray. Suddenly im getting this error message popping up when i hit render. Doesnt matter if its a region render, view, camera, whatever. Or if its local or over network. Ive tried re-booting. Licence is fine. Ive got a feeling ive had it before, cant remember how i resolved it though..... Any help MUCH appreciated, deadline looms... Thanks, Tom.

JamesTaylor
Tom, think i've had this error message before, try reducing the size of the render -think thats what worked for me!
Tommy L
Well thats the wierd thing, its 3000/1650 or something. Not massive. Also, when i try a small region render, same problem. And i havnt just upped the render size, its been constant through the project. It doesnt think about it then give up, its straight away i get the error message. I am working out of an older version of the file now, but its a pain doing all the updating. Cheers James, hows the new job?
JamesTaylor
The jobs good so far not too busy so its easy ish going at the min, working from home is strange tho! only other thing that comes to mind is that it may be a vray frame buffer issue, if your rendering thro it? maybe just try it in maxs frame buffer? Tommy L
Ha ha, youll get used to it.Seems im working 24/7 at the mo. Kind of like having 2 lives. As soon as i get home i change my clothes so i feel im going to work! You were right, i dropped the res and it went straight through, Ill have to do the final in strips on the farm. I guess 'region render' configures a whole render. Even your old machine couldnt do it. I reckon that machine has some real problems though. Maybe it has 'issues' like a troublesome teenager. Cheers, Tom.
