Renovating my office

I'm in the middle of renovating my house, and gonna to build a new office room on the second floor. It's on top of an existing concrete slab, measuring 12x3.6m, with a view to our back yard.

Since it's building from scratch, I got more freedom in e.g windows placement, lighting fixtures, wall color, furniture designs etc. I'm going to use my office mainly for 3dsmax work, photoshops, those kind of things...

 

So, anyone willing to donate their ideas / tips of your 'personal ideal workspace' ?

especially pls tell me how you guys deal with:

1. Lighting condition (do I even need a window? what kind of lamp do u use)

2. Cables! My current workspace got cables running everywhere... especially those long gigabit network cables.

3. Noises (esp. from CPU fans). I'm thinking of 'separating' or 'seal' away the CPU from the desk...
