pauldoherty
Hi All; Im having some trouble setting up distributed rendering. Is it as simple as running the FR2 station on each choosen machine then putting the IP address of those machines into the add slave tab in DR's FR2 menu. When I do this I get a "refused" message. Any suggestions Welcome? Thanks
Ernest Burden III
Yes, it is that simple...assuming the IPclamp program is properly setup. Keeping the slaves running and not killing C4D in the process is the hard part.
brehaut
i found that the firewall was stopping it
STRAT
yes, it usually means frstation.exe isnt being run on your slave computers. check the computer's names and IP's are correct in the slave lists, make sure the frstation.exe has be activated and is running on the slaves, then click on 'check slaves' button a couple of times to refresh. could be a firewall problem, but i havent suffered this before so i couldnt comment.
