jtiscareno
I have always been amazed and wondered how some individuals or cg arch companies achive this sort of extra "sepcial" level of "LOOK" to there work: http://www.3d-win.com/web/bbs/list_new.php?bbs_id=exteriorB As an example, I have also noticed that a lot of this type of look comes from asia. I know or think to know that first it starts with a good, very good rendering technique but I also think to know or guess that there is a lot of very good photoshop work to does images. So my question is, does anybody know of a good web site with tutorials or ideas, a good book, or a good traning dvd to learn this sort of stuff. Is it just some good photoshop work or good digital painting? Thanks for the help!
DennisHolland
There we go... Ingredients: Composition, camera-skills, photographers-eye, graphics-skills, recognizing colors and combine them, love you work, getting inspired by other pro's in the business...you name it! Also, (no offense here) the industries (automotive for example) in Asian countries often know very well how to visualize a concept or improve an earlier piece of western design. Probably this is also part of 'getting the right look is to see the right look'. I like a good metaphore now and then Conclusion? X-factor. jtiscareno
Thanks to both, but my inquire is if the added effects are mostly photoshop or acutal digital painting. To me there is a big diffrence in one or the other of course with the premise that one has to be a good illustrator and have a good eye, but if it is photoshop effects is a matter of learning them or knowing what to apply and when but if it is digital painting well to me it is a whole diffrent world, it is not only mastering modeling, rendering, etc it is also mastering actual painting....
