salf
I've seen those style xp themes and desktops already, but till now i havent tried them. I just bought a new PC, and it came with STyle XP, and the desktop them looks awesome....so i start browsing pages where you can download themes, icons, etc...... I have 1 question: How safe is it?...... Specially because i tried to change my BOOT SCREEN IMAGE but it gave me a warning about saving a backup of some .dll file before changing it...so i did not.....but any of you have tried this Style XP thing?..is it safe to change the boot screen or change all those themes you can download from the internet? Crazy Homeless Guy
i ran it at home for a couple of days, and didn't have any problems with it. ...but keep in mind, that running it uses system resources that could be used elsewhere. even though they are minimal in the grand scheme of things. for that matter, even the windows XP interface uses extra system resources to try and give the interface more sex appeal. whether you think it does or not is another matter. i run windows XP pro, but I disable all of the XP interface 'features', and make it run more on its core graphics without skin. think windows 2000. my 1 penny.
