dpn
Hello all, I am having some problems with an object's material. When I assemble the animation file, the material of an object flashes. The object is the wall in the attached image. This object does not move, and nothing around it is moving. Are there options in the render menu that would prevent this? Could the issue be related to the matieral? The material is a soild color, with a metal like bump map. Any issues there? I am using 3 standard omnis and 1 spotlight. I have the filter type set to pyramidal, for the RPC's in the scene. Could this be related? Any help would be great! dpn
leed
you may have 2 walls in the same place. this tends to cause flashing between the different materials of the different objects Lee
STRAT
yup, co-planar surfaces. you model has 2 faces occupying the same space and the computer cant decide which one to render, so it renders them both. check how clean and efficient your mesh is.
