jtiscareno
Title almost says it all, how can i save a scene library with all the bitmaps that each material might require, I mean sort of what the archive tool does but only for the material....??? Thanks!!!
mbr
you could make a folder and save the .mat file, then use the Bitmap/Photometric Paths thingy to copy the maps in there. Not exactly what you are looking for, but only a step or two more. It'd be nice if you they had an option that was that simple. I am still waiting for the damn mat ed to have unlimited materials - it's stupid the way it is now, imho.
kdavenport
akzit, Unfortunately, there is no way to save the bitmaps with the matlib. Even the stock matlibs merely use paths to find pre-defined bitmaps. I would recommend saving your matlibs and then using the Resource Collector utility to export all of your textures to the same folder (this is pretty much what mbr was saying, I think). Finally, add an external file user path so that max always looks in that folder at start-up. I hope it's helpful!

kdavenport
You can find the resource collector by going to the Utilities tab and pressing the "More" button at the top. The Resource Collector is in the list of stuff that appears.
