frazer
Hello have just started to use vray planes (never noticed they where even there until recently) and was wanting to know if the is anyway in which I can make it so that in on or two situations the plane doesnt show up in it. The Problem explains hopefully better and in its context: I have a dock scene where I am using the vray plane to act as the water level which is below the level of the land the only problem is that there are two graving dock on the site (dry docks) which are below the surface level of the water. So when I render the scene the water appears inside them. Is there any way on solving this or is it a case of not using a vray plane Many thanks Frazer
Christopher Nichols
The Vray plane is infinite.. Use a normal plane for what you are trying to do. The Vray plane is actually an implicit surface... not actually polygones. Chris
FlytE
so the vray plane is infinite... Is it just used for simulating a ground surface then ? At one point i wondered if it was possible/feesible to actually build a scene using vray planes.... lol.... im guessing its not?
