Cinema 4D can't start

Recommended Posts

Me too, think it's a XP/Microsoft update issue. I had an auto update pending, was working with C4D closed things down to restart....and C4D would'nt start after. Starts just fine on the w2k system, no updates.

Also got the BS system won't allow you to open, blah blah blah with PS's help documentation.....very well could be a setting was cahnged that interferes with C4D & it's network pings looking for other instances running.

It's back running.....

What I did change was delete the google & yahoo tools bars....thanks TimeWarner and adobe PDF #$%^&*(), and disabled the pop-up blocker that came with those. Restarted----did not get that error, got the default microsoft one. One of the modules was opengl32.dll...searched them down the one in use is about 9months old...OK...went to start Max...MR plugin was throwing errors and MR did not load...SOB....time for the sledge hammer....turned the Box off and let it sit for a bit.... started back up...no problems.

Can't say that it'll fix your problem....but check into updates on your video drivers if you can't find a solution...along with contacting Maxon, they are really good about following up

Cheers, let us know how it turns out

It's commercial software, you need to buy it - then you can get tech support.

Dude, your screen cap contains the logo graphic of a software piracy group. If you've got a legit copy, and there's some other reason for the graphic, then contact Maxon tech support. If you don't, then having a hack copy is probably part of the problem. It's a relatively inexpensive package, even more so if you're a student, and it's worth buying. If you're not sure, there's a free demo on the Maxon site.

And even if software piracy discussion weren't banned on this board, there isn't much help we could give you with this kind of thing.
