MandelbrotJr
If you are using Max, just press the X, that will bring the Gizmo back. Best Regards

arkiedmund
I have a similar problem...though quite different. everytime i switch to a viewport, some object get highlighted, i always have to press j to turn that highlight off. What is the j key for in max?
ipdesigner
*what do you meant by highlighted? *first thing first, you have to check your UI (User Interface). Go to Preference then 'Customize User Interface', check they 'Keyboard'. Look for the shortcut 'J' to where it is used for as an action, you can remove or reassign it if you want. Here you can customize whatever keys you want.
