If you use too much light together at the and will be very bad if you are rendering. Too much the light 7. And it' better if you put 2 normal light for the both side of the object, without shadows. JamesTaylor
greg, just had a quick look at your file. 1st thing i'd suggest is to loose the direct light no.2 (if you are tring to create defuse shadows with it, it is better to adjust the uvw size under vray shadows param's on the single direct light, the larger the values the more difuse the shadows) removing the 2nd direct light seemed to give a better result. otherwise i can't see to much wrong, it is such a simple scene that is going to be difficult to spot adjustments. in general tho i notice that you have adjusted quite a few settings such as contrast etc in the indirect illumination panel. i think it may be more benifical for you to leave these settings as default and just play with the position, intensity and colour of lights etc to begin with until you have something your happy with. then maybe tweak a few of these fine controls as final adjustments. check out these 2 tutorials if you haven't already http://www.osmosis.com.au/info/tutorials.htm James
d7man2000
thanks for reply i checked this tutorials a long time ago, they look nice from a camera point of view but when you render from a top view, everything is washed. what if you wanted to do an animation like flyby, it would look washed from the top but ok inside the walls. do you have any suggestion about this ?
