La-Z-CADtech
Ok I'm pretty new to all of this stuff and im having a problem with texturing a floor. well texturing everything but im working on the floor right now. I'm trying to make it look like 18inch floor tiles. I imported a model from autocad and created my texture for the floor then i rendered and all i get is a flat suface. so i played with tiling and to no avail. the first image is the test of my image on just a plain square. the second is what i get when i apply it to my model, and the third is with face map checked but i was told i dont want to use face map. oh and the first pic doesnt have face map. Dollhouse Studio
Apply a UVW Mapping, Keep Real World Scale checked and play with the diffuse map sizes..

Jason Matthews
How do i apply UVW mapping? Sorry im a newbie Select the item you want (ex: Layer:Floor) and then go to the modify tab and apply the UVW Map modifier. Change it from plane to box. Now adjust the scale using one of the dozen methods (see help menu).
