IC
The deadline for this one was originally next Monday but I had to rush a draft for submission to the local newspaper yesterday so it's been a fun couple of days! Due to that I'm having trouble even looking at it so any c&c would be most appreciated as I'm far from happy with it. Lack of entourage and tiling textures I know about already and I'm trying a more 'head on' camera angle now.
oluv
the middle part of the image is washed out, so it seems as if the bricks were shiny, not rough. and your benches are floating. did you use some skylight? the rendering looks a bit flat, you could add more skylight. will you add some people too? Derek Youssi
The texture on the building is throwing me a bit. It's brick right? The texture isn't to clear to me what it really is exactly.
Yaseck
I'm just wondering if the glass is one piece or separated. I couldn't even imagine the glass in such a big size... Anyway, I like Your work a lot. Only the bricks have too much glossines.
IC
Thanks guys. That's what I needed to hear to get me back into this one. I'll get working on the textures. Mainly the brick. Think I'm just about there with lighting etc. The glass on the main tower is a 'frameless' system with 4x2m panes. I'll post an update soon. IC
Here's the version that will be used but it's suffered greatly with the reduction from 3000x4225 pixels.............
DAN212222
nice ic i like it... it looks like it could be for urban splash.. they tend to redevelop a lot of these type of buildings... maybe could add some extra people activity... just to make it look a little more lived in i guess ??? anyhow good work .. dan
IC
Thanks Dan. We're aiming at the same sector as Urban Splash ie trendy refurbishments and new builds but they have it down to a fine art. This is our first refurb south of the border but it's the first of many. Here's some extracts from the hi res image......
warprat
Hello..... The brick mapping seems to have too much repetition if I may say so. Other than that the render looks great to me. what software do you use? how did you get that kinda lighting? wow.
Allen
As usual, Iain, fine work. I especially like the close-ups where we can see the details. You know, looking more closely - you'll need some exterior lighting. It's going to get really dark along the waterfront.
