I believe they were all rounded up in the great hippie purge of '98.

Ouch Ray, where's the love:(?

Apparently they must have missed some of us in the "great hippie purge of '98"...

I agree with Ian- "I think the proof is inconclusive on that one" and "I'm not actually sure you can say there IS a best rock...eh arch viz firm. It's too objective and reliant on personal tastes, fashion etc."

Hey just because a guy dresses in purple, wears a purse, and a dress.. Ok thats pretty gay.

Yeah Jen we missed talking over the dead. I saw them when I was a young kid in Santa Fe. Also no one brought up Zappa. Talk about changing the face of architecture. I guess Zappa is considerably offensive. It took me years to see it (funny most of those have been the married years).

Different note -

Saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo last night, great show. Really fun puts a smile on you face show. Then I remembered I saw them about 13 years ago (it was after a true hippie harvest in norhtern NM got some fresh uh, hmm - fungus GREAT SHOW!) but kind of realising I am in a musical rut. My musical taste really haven't changed that much but I am also not hearing much new. When Audiogalaxy was functional I could hear so much new music but really now I don't hear that much new. Picking up the White Stripes was the best "new" music (new to me) purchase I have made in a long time. Anyway I want new tunes tomorrow is my b-day but I am just not getting turned onto music anymore. I hate radio. Anyway just a rant. Maybe sometime we could put together a must have list. Convincing people to try a new book or music is the hardest thing. Too much enthusiasm is a turn off.

I knew that there had to be some more of us out there- and I knew I liked you from the start Sawyer... and it wasn't just the Calla Lily (he, he, he)... I mean "point of inspiration" and that super cool avatar dude you got there!

Lady Smith is amazing- Zappa too-

You are clearly a man of great taste!

And there are so many other great bands, so much wonderful muzik to enjoy.

Steve Miller Band, WAR, Parliment, Outkast, Little Feat, John Mayer Trio, Fiona Apple, Sting, and it just goes on and on and on.

There is no end to all the amazing music that is out there.

ENJOY IT ALL!!!

Jennifer,

Thanks for bringin life back to the best thread ever (well maybe besides the worlds fair 1900)

Music is all relative, but we have noticed that Pink Floyd seems to be a very common Visualization firm that we all enjoy.

Strangely enough, I saw Ladysmith back in 93-94 sometime. Very cool stuff. The one concert I wish I had gotten to see though would be sublime. I was east coast at the time and the boys were still west coast. Oh Well.

Speaking of best arch vis firms, what kinda music do you think Tinky winky would listen to.

Randy Bachman is, yes. From Winnipeg actually. If you like BTO then you have to like the Guess Who.

But of course I do!

I remember seeing BTO on Don Kirshner's Rock Hour (or similar name) when I was about 12--many moons ago!
