Brian Cassil
Is this possibly a teaser for the long talked about Simpson movie? Although I had never imagined it would be live action.
Crazy Homeless Guy
hmmm... reminds me of when they came out with the Flintsones live action movie a handful of years ago. i don't think i ever saw it, btu that was my immediate impression watching the trailer. i didn't think it would be live action either. i always heard that Groening said they were not going to do the movie until the TV show was done. ....when was the last time the contract was re-newed? ...it may be time for the show to go now, it is still fun to watch, but they haven't been edgy for years. Brian Cassil
I just checked out AICN and didn't turn up any recent news on a simpsons feature film, so unless strat has got a serious inside track on something I'd say this has nothing to do with a film project. Crazy Homeless Guy
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462538/ nothing about it being live action. judging from the creds, it seems like it is still their traditional form, though i wouldn't be surprised if they did a 3d animation rather than their traditional method. Sawyer
I would be so dissapointed if they didn't let their cast of sooo many years play on the big screen.
Brian Cassil
I didn't realize IMDB had anything on the Simpsons movie already... interesting.
Christopher Nichols
Does not mean anything... for example this project: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0134933/ ... has been in production for years and years... the date keeps changing. The remake of Superman has been in the works for probably 10+ years... it will finally be released this summer after several scripts, directors, actors,.... ShaunDon
I thought this was a pretty nerdy site -- no one reads Slashdot?? ;-) Not a whole lot of information in the linked article. Agreed on the Flintstones factor though. Nothing good will come of this! http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=06/03/05/1521210 Shaun
Brian Cassil
I'm not quite sure I understand, is this simply a quaint opening for an episode of the simpsons? Or is it the opening to some sort of new series?
Christopher Nichols
From that article: "Makers of the hit cartoon The Simpsons have a filmed the show's opening titles using real actors. In the hit viral going around the world we get to see what Bart, Homer, Marg, Lisa and Maggie would look like if they were humans. Simpson's maker Matt Groening has approved the human version of the show's opening credits to promote the brand new series." "New series" = "new season" series means season english to american.
