DennisHolland
Do you watch/listen 'm straight from your DVD drive, Steven? If yes, maybe copy them to your HD first. Strange.... Regards, Dennis
STRAT
they are originally on my HD. i burn them to dvd and the sound/vision is out of sink when watched on my front room system. but the originals play perfectly on the HD. it's going out of sink somewhere in the burning process. STRAT
if i write as data wouldn't my home dvd system not be able to play it then?
JamesTaylor
i think that'll depend on your DVD player, i know mine says it recoginises jpeg and mpeg file although i've never tried it. give it a whirl, theres nothing lost if it doesn't work! AJLynn
When you play them on your computer and the sound works correctly, are you playing the AVIs or the MPG files? Usually when your lose sync it's from the conversion process. What's the audio format on the AVIs? If it's MP3 VBR that's kind of hard to deal with - best thing is to get a few free programs like VirtualDubMod or NanDub, BeSweet and TooLame and use VDub to demux the audio, then use BeSweet and TooLame to convert it first to WAV file then to an MP2 (AKA MPA) file at 224kbps stereo, which is one of the standard formats for DVD. Then handle the video to MPEG-2 separately and in your DVD authoring program specify the separate video and audio files.
STRAT
thanks for the concern fellers. i sorted the problem - i converted my files from AVI to MPG first, then burned to dvd. perfect, no sync issues whatsoever
