BrianKitts
Anyone know how to delete a max rendering preset? I've gone into explorer and deleted some old *.prs files. Yet when I open max, the old presets (that I deleted) still showup in the dropdown menu for presets :-\ I want to clean the list up to only the ones I use now....but can't get rid of the old ones...... any ideas?? kdavenport
If you open the 3dsmax.ini file in Notepad, and scroll down to the section titled [RenderPresetsMruFiles], you will see a list of all of the render presets; for me it was about half way down (you'll see several lines starting with "RenderPresetsMruFile"). Delete all the lines that reference the presets that you don't want and they won't be listed in the pull-down menus anymore. If you accidentally delete one you want, just open max and use the "load preset" feature, assuming you still have the rps files. You don't actually have to delete the rps file if you do this as max won't even know to look for it. Hope it was helpful!
ronel
hello, try also these. open the program 3d max, browse down customize drop down menus, try to revert to start up, or open some start up ui scheme and make it as your default scheme ( just in case you accidentally edited your previous default scheme) good luck.
