Well, the noise is quite bad, but this is not your fault. This is one of those images that should look good, but there are some minor things that, to me, throw it off. The carpet just looks wrong; it doesn't really look like the type that you would see in an office, or anywhere for that matter. The table's top color is a bit distracting and, I think, would be better if it was much darker and glossy. I wouldn't put too much weight in my comments though, I'm not an arch-viz person after all. I would hold off until someone else in the field comments on it.:)

Thank you for the comments. Finally some real comments!

This is the first time I have ever showd any of my work online before.

The carpet well That's my fault did'nt realize it was like that cos mapping in maxwell is such a pain (RC5) havent got the hang of it yet. Yes the table should be more glossier how on earth do I get that??? haven't got my head around blending either.

lighting wise I liked the mood, but yeah maybe a bit lighter would be good, there were no windows in the conference room and it was splat in the middle of the building. for all the downlights I used custom 35000 W. every light holder had an emitter. maybe 20 of them.

Thanks for the ceiling designed by my cousin they were supposed to be stailess steel. well look like stainless steel. we were going to use MDF board and spray paint it to make it look stainless steel.

Thanks again guys for the comments I will try get at it again an see if I can adjust these things. It would be great if you guys could give some guidlines on how u guuys map in maxwell and do your lighting.

Do you use lightwave?

well I use lightwave and not a single map comes over with the file when I send it out maxwell And that is supper anoying!!! when I have to do my mapping in maxwell, plus Im not that good with texturing in maxwell either. LIghting well should I be using Those three point lighting setup concepts? cos' I done this one according to reality, one light holder one emitter.

Plus at the moment the forums are my only hope. I don't know anyone in malaysia that is using maxwell. if there were i think they would be just like me.

by the by how long is it going to take for maxwell to be able to go through into production??

anyways thanks alot looking forward to more discussions.

Have you tried FPrime?

It does interiors incredibly well and its very fast.

If you're using LW in a production environment, I can't recommend it enough.

It's not Maxwell but then, who cares at the moment? It works.

hi there,

i'm another fan of fprime.. it would do this scene very quickly with much less noise, perhaps not as accurate a radiosity engine as maxwell, but to echo the previous statement "it works" and in a production environment its superb...

To lighten up the room a bit, you should look at putting some feature lighting directly above the table, as if this room actually existed, it looks like the table would be too dark to do any work at, the table top looks about the dullest part of the room where in fact it should be one of the lightest, as u're expecting people to be able to sit there and read stuff.. just my opinion.

cheers

ian
