danread19
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and am very interested in the presentation of architectural projects. I am currently in the final year of my Architectural Technology degree course at Southampton Solent University and am looking to gather information to help progress my dissertation project. My chosen area of study considers how the presentation method(s) adopted to present an architectural project to a client can affect its success. Ultimately what I’m aiming to do is to conclude what advantages can be gained, and what disadvantages could occur from using interactive 3d presentation methods such as viewer controlled walkthroughs, holograms etc as oppose to 'traditional' 3d techniques already seemingly well established within architecture; e.g. still 3d perspectives contained within a 2dimensional medium. In order to compile my literature review of existing research, of equal interest to me is why presentation methods have developed from 2d plans and elevations through to the 3d techniques currently used. This will hopefully give me an understanding of why 3d techniques became popular which will in turn allow me to see whether the same trend is likely to develop with more interactive 3d techniques. I would be very grateful if there is anyone out there you would be able to point me in the direction of any relevant literature/research previously carried out (or possibly research that is currently being carried out) – Anything would be more than appreciated at the moment J Hope you can help and I look forward to hearing from you, Thank you in advance!
