DennisHolland
Hi all, I'm stuck here! I got a couple of 3D reference files, mostly engineering drafts, in Unigraphics with extension .prt. I know that Npower has the powertranslator for this, but i got an error in the trialversion. Anybody know a way to translate/import through a plugin into max. A translator that convert to dwg/dxf or whatever is inside Max will do fine as well, links to a translator-productsite etc. I tried cadkey and all other wellknown sites. Hope to get a solution for this fast, got to get started with this asap. Dennis
Bugga_Guy
The best thing to do is to see if you can contact the company that did the the 3d files and see if they can outport to a 3ds/dxf/dwg file. If not I have used this program called Polytrans, unfortunatly its a bit expensive. http://www.okino.com/default.htm

Brian Cassil
I bought polytrans a few months back and I use it a lot more than I thought I would. Also, they are very good with support. I highly recommend getting it.
DennisHolland
Yes I will purchase the polytrans tool today Brian. This is a project (refrences are all prt Unigraphics) running over 1,5 yrs and start today. It has a core-application (vr > Max/Flash) with a walkthrough of a hangar, there are nine of them and will be produced during that 1,5 yr, they all need their presentation done in VR. So yes, I buy the tool. Thanks guys, Dennis
