dpn
Hello, I am wondering if anyone knows what the best compressor to use in Max 7 is? I have an animation that is rendered @ 1600 x 1200. I do not want to loose any of the image quality, but I would like smaller files. What is the best compresser / file type to use? The animation will only be played from a laptop. I will be importing the file into After Effects 7.0. An help would be great. thanks dpn
Brian Cassil
If using AE, then don't compress from max. Render the animation to individual frames and then import and compress in AE. Once there, I like divx for best quality to size ratio, but there may be something better that I don't know about.
IHAB
Isn't 1600 x 1200 high for a laptop screen res.?

Bugga_Guy
for the size/quality I would use MPEG 1, however you can only get a max size of 720 x 480. But if you are for quality I would go quicktime sorenson. Also I would render frames in MAX and complie them in a program like Adobe priemere to a quicktime/or mpeg 1.
