p_4204
This just started I can get rid of them by going to the mental ray>render>renderer tab and unchecking Raytracing, but then i don't have any transparancies etc. Also , if I increase final gather samples above 25 it gets worse. Conclusion so far: mental ray related raytrace unchecked on renderer tab elimitates it changing settings on rendering algorithms doesn't doesn't affect it. Anybody???? AJLynn
This is actually a fairly common problem that gets brought up every few weeks. This thread: http://www.cgarchitect.com/vb/showthread.php?t=11693 is good, page 2 has some answers. I'm guessing it's what Philip and Kenneth said about faceted raytraced reflections, which is why it works when raytrace is off. Also you may have shaders that invoke incompatible raytracing(?)...
