Gander0
Right I'm stuggling with this.... Have calibrated my monitors using Spyder to D50/1.8 and have gotten over the whole pink thing. My problem is with photoshop in Adobe RGB (1998) mode. The issue is that when I bring my nice rendered images in from Max for post production they seem to be MUCH darker, this is the same for sRGB, the only profile I can assign an image for it to get close to max output is Colormatch RGB..... Can someone explain? Do I have to tell max to use a profile? Or should I be using Colormatch RGB in my Photoshop color settings (Have been trying to follow Jeffs instructions) Cheers! AJLynn
This is because Max doesn't observe the sRGB profile. There are a few ways to correct this - adjust in Photoshop, change the Max gamma settings or do a curve correction (e.g. in Vray frame buffer if you have Vray). Chris Nichols has talked about this a lot and posted this link a while bck: http://throb.net/site_main/LinearWorkflow.html
