edub
I've been using the Zygote Man that comes in the C4D object library, but have discovered that he's not quite as flexible as needed. I need more flexibility in the spine, so that when the model is posed in a reclining position it doesn't look like he has a fused spine! I've looked at axyz and dosch - but don't think they have the detail I need. Basically, I don't care about textures,as this figure will be rendered as a silhouette (see image). Turbosquid doesn't seem to have anything suitable for this line of work - any other suggestions? Would I be able to use a POSER model? will it have the same joints as the zygote people? any help appreciated. -Erik
ramses2028
Poser can export in .3ds, else there's a plugin to import .pz3 models in c4d. I think it's the best way to import human models in c4d... cheers, Seb
edub
will models imported from poser have nulls organized at the joints? what about bones (and IK)? would I be able to pose the model the same way as the zygote model, without spending time on rigging it? Ernest Burden III
There are two (or more) Poser>C4D plugins. I think they will bring in the whole 'rig', though I haven't tried either. I have brought a Poser figure into Cinema and rigged it with a bone rig someone else made. It was a lot of work, but I did it to learn about how, so it was fine. The C4D forum at cgtalk.com is where I've read about the plugs.
