Carrotious
Hi all, I'm going a bit nuts here. I want to only apply a meshsmooth to part of this object only. I,ve been trying with smoothing groups and with the apply to whole object deselected but i'm having no success. I just wnat the round surcfaces to smooth and the flat ones to stay flat. Any help? Thanks Giles ps Image of new mesh and of where i managed to get to with another attempt. Unfortunately it was using insanely high poly counts so i want to try again but using smoothing whjich i think is the way forward...
William Alexander
Have you tried converting to a polygonal object, poly selection mode, deselecting all numbered smoothing groups... then select the areas that will smooth the same, general shperical surfaces and the rounded flat areas of the openings through the walls as two examples of what to select ploygons for. Then assign a unique number to those individual (group) poly selections. You can overlap..use the same smooting number for two adjacent slections also. Sometimes when you need a more rounded inside edge this works well. Maybe where the round walls meet the floor, once again as an example. The wall and floor would have one unique number assigned and one common. WDA
