yog
In lieu of not having a general modelling section, I thought I would post this here. A user of Luxology's Modo called Neil Hayes seems to be on a one man quest to make Modo into a very capable architectural modeller by providing a series of 3rd party plug-ins. Check out is plug-ins and videos at http://www.archvisuals.co.uk/ especially the sash windows videos, and here http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=5944 for his facia and soffit videos. I, like probably many others, use Autacad ADT and MAX for arch vis, but I find the automated item generators a touch "soulless". As a Modo user this provides a realistic alternative. exception
I found, after using modo for a little, it has not really went into the direction of arch vis at all, more CA, and lightwave, which is what modo is based upon, has much more opportunities. LWCAD was released quite some time ago and came free with LW for a while too. Still does now i think... Its nice that someone is developing tools for modo... good stuff. windows look pretty good. Creeper
Wow, I thought I was the only ArchViz person using modo. 201 is going to be great because Step 1 (modelling) and Step 2 (painting) can be be achieved all inside of modo. I am going to conitnue using Lightwave for animation until modo 301. That's probably 2+ years away..
