frazer
Just wanting to know if anyone knew how to create a sectional perspective in 3ds max as am having a bit of trouble. Am wanting to create a section through a building using auto cad in 2d then in certain rooms create a perspective of the room so that they can fit behind the scaled drawing and match up with the cut lines. Cheers all the same Frazer
Vince Paske
Try using clipping planes in you camera parameters.

Ricardo Eloy
Or you can select your whole scene and add the Slice modifier. Place the slice plane wherever you want and check remove top/bottom (whichever suits you best). If you want the walls to be filled, you might add an Edit Poly modifier, select Border and Cap them. The cap will also follow the height of the slice plane if you need an animation. To have a different material where your plane intersects the walls, use a multi/sub-object material (one of the 5 IDs will do it, I believe number 5 is the one).
