gdrakakis
hi guys!!! i am newbie @ this forum, and this is my first thread. i wonder if anyone has ever tried the Engineering Bundle for c4d. it looks quite promising, especially for architects/archviz artist who are dealing with 2d/3d data from autocad, rhino and other vector (non-polygon) based applications. is the import-export proccess a seamless one? is 3d data updated when you merge an updated version of the vector data? where can i find a trial - demo version? is my english so bad? are we alone in this universe? (ok, don't answer the last question)!!
Frosty
Welcome. I've never personally used the engineering bundle, but I've been using Cinema with FormZ for architectural work since 1998. Others on this board have been at it just as long. I have grown to really enjoy working in Cinema and I am trying to do more and more work completely within it. AJLynn
I don't believe any of the regulars here use the eng bundle. (That actually surprises me a bit - it looks like a good idea for arch vis, where you could have people giving you CAD files in various formats, and the import filters in the default package have some deficiencies.) You might try asking on the other sites, or searching their forums - c4dcafe.com, cgtalk and 3dfluff also have active C4D forums.
