Wojciech Klepacki
Hi friend, I wonder to know does anybody has some experience with this lens? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BY52NU/sr=8-1/qid=1143626326/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-9730552-1327359?%5Fencoding=UTF8 It has good focal range and low chromatic aberration. The 3,5 aperture is acceptable, I don't expect to make shoots in low light condition. Any suggestion? I want to use it with Nikon D50. I saw some enthusiastic reviews on the web but I need some more input. Thanx. Regards Wojtek Klepacki

Wojciech Klepacki
Elliot, Thanx for the advice. I saw once those links. I've ordered Nikkor 18-200VR yestarday. I was suggested to buy it. Many people on Polish Nikon Forum told me to so. Have a nice day
Elliot
Wojciech From what I have read that is a very good lens. I have several lenses with my camera. I am trying to buy the 85mm 1.4. Many people are talking very good about the new 105VR lens. Thanks Elliot
Wojciech Klepacki
Elliot, The lens You choose is up to the shoots You want to take. If You feel the need to own 85mm - buy one. But, my question is: do You really want to pay for 1.4 aperture? I want to have flexible lens and 18-200 seems to be good choice. I wish You to make a nice picture with Your new 85 or 105VR. Jeff Mottle
Wojciech From what I have read that is a very good lens. I have several lenses with my camera. I am trying to buy the 85mm 1.4. Many people are talking very good about the new 105VR lens. Thanks Elliot I've got the 1.8 version of that lens and really like it. 1.4 would be nice, but the cost was so much more. Wojciech: Let us know how you like the lens. 3.5 would be too slow for me. Anythign indoors would be useless without a tripod or long exposure. (you'd need bright sun)
Wojciech Klepacki
Hi Jeff, I need 18-200VR for exterior. For interior I choose 12-24 http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/1224.htm but apertue is 4... I have to wait until something remarkable appears on the market. When I put my hands on 18-200 I will let You know.
Elliot
Wojciech and Jeff, I take a lot of existing light photos. I have the 50mm 1.8 and the 50mm 1.4. Almost never I use the 1.8. The extra .4 makes a big difference. I am aware of the price difference. I rented an 85mm 1.4 and it is just a fine lens. I saw the 85mm 1.4 advertised new for 875.00. I have been looking at the "Nocturnal 1.2" It is not an automatic lens but very fast. The ongoing price use is about 2,000.00. Inside the operwting rooms there is very little light and I need a fast lens. Thanks Elliot
