jophus14
This is the lobby that I have been working on for about a week. I need some imput as to how to improve it. I used a brushed steel material on the desk and the pillars, but it either was too reflective or too dull (as shown). How can I add Fritt to the small window panes, do I use a map in the opacity slot? The glass wall should be a light green. I have dark green as my fog color and the multiplier up to .2 or.5 , but it still shows clear, why? I used Vray and 3d Max8.

edub
what is Fritt? I don't have max or vray, so can't help on the settings. I think you need some more shadow definition - it's really washed out at the moment.

sardesign
easy solution J glass scatters when it hits a glass with "fritt" just add a noise map to the object (i.e. the glass material) and it will scatter light. i use mental ray with 3d max so it may be different than vray, but I would look in that direction. it may take longer to render but the effect is WAY COOL!!!
