What architect sites should really look like

This is really funny. Someone put a fair amount of work into this. I wonder what the motive is?

aaaaah... bitterness about a crappy job?

I think it was part of a Jim Carrey standup: "Wait... you hate your job? There is a support group for that. They meet on fridays at 5:30 at the bar across the street.... it is called 'Happy Hour'."

As someone who spent his Friday nights in high school making spoof websites (including one screwkennebunk.com about my hometown which landed me in some hot water with the chamber of commerce), I'm sure they were motivated by a good time and a clever joke. ;-) It's not terribly well written, but what's there is pretty funny. I envision some architecture students writing it as a cathartic exercise in dealing with their chosen career path!

What they are really missing is the portfolio section.

You know the one where they have like 1,000 renderings of really cool studio work that has never been built that some 2nd year cad/max wizard pumped out over a couple of quarters on the lab computer.

With the same 3 RPCs used 100 times per image...

And every rendering has the same 3 RPCs...

With lots of brick tile mapping...

With awful lighting and 100% accurate raytraced reflection mapping...
