ava
Hi all, I have a very weird problem with baking a radiosity solution to textures in 3dsmax 7. For most of the objects in the scene this succeeds very well, but for some objects the baked textures are too bright. When I try (render) again, the objects which had bright textures have good textures and some other objects have now too bright textures. I noticed that when the baking starts, the first two or three textures go slow, and then it speeds up and the textures are generated fast. The slowly generated textures are the ones that are too bright. Any suggestions? Thanx, Alex
DennisHolland
Check the geometry of the objects where the textures are baked on. Mostly it is not a texture related, but a object (mesh/radiosity mesh) related issue. Check vertexpoints, overlapping poly's, those sort of probs are causing the most strange spots/overbright/oversaturation. Regards, good luck Dennis
