how to disable textures when I open a file from another computer

when I open a file that was saved on another computer, it takes forever to give me a message that textures are missing, it is crazy,

 

i don't care about textures,

 

i don't want to waste time waiting for a message that texture are missing,

 

how to do it?

copy the file locally

unplug the network connection

open the file and strip the paths with either the asset tracking dialog in Max8 or the bitmap/photometric path editor in the utility panel in other releases.
