saulman
Hi Everyone, Do you know of anywhere I can download good character poses for rigged T-pose people in 3DS Max? I'm producing a video for a shopping centre and the client has asked me for the mall to be 5 times busier. I've already got 30 Got 3D people and 10 AXYZ people to populate the scene but if I use each one 5 times it's going to look silly. I can change the clothes maps which helps a bit but what I really need are some different poses without having to spend the time animating them myself. I am looking for still poses and not animations. I've already got plenty of motion capture files to liven the scene up, I just need to fill it out now. I already have plenty of RPCs but the camera takes some funny angles and distorts them in places. I'm really just looking for poses. I'm not even sure what a pose file extension is.........FIG perhaps? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Ernest Burden III
What about using mocap files and just 'freezing' a figure in a pose that you like?
saulman
What about using mocap files and just 'freezing' a figure in a pose that you like? Yeah, I guess I could do that as a last resort. I don't want people to look like they're frozen in time though. I want natural poses. Like people leaning against walls or window shopping or looking over a balcony or something. I could use fully mocap people but I think if I use too many it eats away at my memory and the file size becomes huge. Thanks for the idea. John Dollus
Mocap is just motion data. It won't affect your file size or memory at all. If you have rigged characters, it doesn't take much time at all to get them posed correctly. Try grabbing a clothing catalog or something similar for reference.
