IHAB
In my opinion 3D is the main aproach to the architectural design process,I never start a design in 2D or extrude a plan in cad either..usually start with a model then plans are generated as output of it,then there is a modification in 3D later according to plans .I found 3dsmax or viz ,which I firstly started with long time ago,the most suitable tool for this operation even I sometimes donot render fine tuned images myself,I give the model to presentation specilalists in my firm to accompalish this job. elmassry
I think it depends on what u want to do in max ....do u want to design or just to make the prespective of a certain project. So if u want to desing or make a primary model u should start in Max if u want to model a prespective u must start with cad 2d then make 3d in max or 3d in cad or any other 3d software as u like then finish the model in max. IHab........is it cool to dive??
