HDRI goes off in vray

Last time i rendered my file with hdri in background. i animated my model on it using matteshadow material. The i rendered using vray with (vray hdri) but it wasnt fine for me. The HDRI was a bit rotated and flipped. i again opened my saved file in max. hdri wasnt there niether in viewport background nor rendering. i get black screen. The path of the file is there but i dont know what the hell is going on. can anyone tell me whats missing?
